Very nice, I didn't know that Danegold did custom armor
Hi Harry.
I managed to twist his arm and I know he was pretty keen to have a go at making it.
All the scabbard and fittings for my sh sword also made by danegeld and a real pleasure to deal with
Glad you like it Jerry, you didn't have to twist my arm too much. :)
Very pretty indeed, nice to see!
That's a great helmet Jerry. And a very awesome sword. The article posted below might be of interest to you. It is about the symbology of the Sutton Hoo helmet. The theory that the garnets above the left eye lacked gold foil backing to represent the missing eye of Odin.

It's been some time since I read it, but I remember enjoying it. Authored by Neil Price and Paul Mortimer. Two guys who know their stuff.

Cheers.

Hi Travis.
I have seen the link and my helm is constructed the same way George Easton of Danegeld Historic jewellery has
done an fine job on the reconstruction as also the belt and scabbard fittings as well plus more on the way.
