The Konig Glove by St Mark (Axel Pettersson & Anders Lin
For those who haven't seen this yet, Axel Pettersson & Anders Linnard have formed a new HEMA gear company, St Mark.

And, well, you can find the rest!

Price is €210.00.
That looks like a really nice product. It looks less garish than some of the very modern black, plastic-y creations (practical though they may be). I'll be interested to see what's next from this company. Axel already has done collaborations on arming jackets etc, but will there be more options, eg new arming jacket designs from St Mark?

Hmm, now I just have to find a HEMA club and begin training in order to justify some purchases...
I had the privilege of handling these gloves and the updated ones that will more resemble the final product, and I can say I was quite impressed. I didn't get to spar in them, but touching them and trying them on was great.

Is there a remote chance that we could get Axel to do one of those Meyer cutting drills at quarter speed, with notes attached? I can't think of a better way of promoting the product and demonstrating the maneuverability of the longsword.
Looks promising! I don't even care if the protection is all that great as long as:

1: the dexterity is awesome
2: they're tournament legal in most venues

It would be so nice to be able to finally use my hands again and do some real fencing in a HEMA tournament.
Hi Mike,

The videos seem to suggest that dexterity and protection are covered ... and, given that, I can't see why they wouldn't be tournament-legal - as long as tournament requirements are based on construction and protection, rather than just a list of pre-approved models. Even if they were, I'm guessing that these gloves will be added to those lists pretty quickly.

And they're available, unlike the ProGauntlet!
For what it's worth...

When I handled them, I found that they weren't quite as dexterous as lacrosse gloves, but were much more maneuverable than Spes heavies or any mitten design. They didn't protect as much as spes heavies but were very solid. All the trade-offs were totally worth it and all and overall very good gloves. Of course, I didn't spar with them, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I'm certainly ordering a pair.
