The Bonhams sales of the E.A. Christensen collection in 2012 showed two interesting Boringholm-like swords.

Lot 75 classified as a Type XVI.
Total length 126,6 cm.
Blade length: 100 cm.
So longer than the Boringholm sword, but probably quite close in proportions to the D 261.

Lot 76 is classified as a Type XVII sword with a pommel that it hard to see from the image whether it's a flat H1 type OR the subtype H2 like the Balkan/Norwegian/Swedish examples.
Total length: 111.8 cm.
Blade length: 87,5 cm.

It is flat... this is Oakeshott's XVII.2.

OK, so it's just a shadow on the image I saw!

Otherwise from Dronninglund Kirke in Northern Jutland I have found a depiction of a Boringholm-like sword in the hands of one of the "9 heroes" - namely Godefroy de Bouillion (see attachment).
It has the right pommel and right crossguard and also shows a rain-guard.
So do I see a shadow again....or is it a type H2 pommel

This is interesting since the Boringholm sword is at the latest from 1412, while the Dronninglund church paintings are from 1510-1525!
