I wasn't really sure where to put this one, so here it is in "off topic" since it doesn't exactly concern real armour... but it certainly is strange. Seems as though the Victorians were "hot" into history as we are, but in rather unusual ways. One seems to have been by way of manufacturing iron stoves with suits of armour included in them for decoration. Strange to say the least from the modern taste, but then so is much of Victoriana. Here's a short article on the subject for your enjoyment, and a picture of one version manufactured in Germany, as noted in the text of the article. Frankly it doesn't look too bad!
That Gothic armour stove looks very much like the real thing and would be strangely frustrating to own as it would remind an armour lover of how close and how far he would be from the real thing! Might have obsessive nightmares about trying to put that armour on! ........ LOL.
Sort of the Victorian version of a Shotgun lamp. You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!
