[Niels Just Rasmussen]

The Danish gunsmith Nicolai Johan Løbnitz came up with a special system of breechloader, that has a very unusual trigger.

In 1834 he manufactured and delivered at Kronborg 25 "Kammerlader Carbines" for the cavalry. [Probably trial weapons].

It seems to have made some people happy as in 1841 he was able to supply the army with the following weapons:

A series of total 310 "Kammerlader Carbines" was produced in 1841 (A) and 1842 (B)

In 1841 he also started to make pistols using the same system.
297 of the "Kammerlader Pistols" were produced in Danmark by the "Kronborg Geværfabrik" (Kronborg Rifle-Factory) in Helsingør (Elsinore).

It was Norway - though - where this system was adopted in great quantities:
Between 1842-1870 more than 40.000 "Kammerlader rifles" were build.

I think you're right. The Kammerlader carbine has an unusually huge trigger guard.
