Hi from Switzerland!

I'm a complete armory/weapon novice. I'm doing 15th medieval reenactement (we recreate daily life and market).

I dont know if I'm at the right place, I'm seeking informations about a blunderbuss a friend recovered from the waste collection and we would like to know more about it(date, source, type, etc.). Is it an original or copy?

Any advises where I can find more information if I'm not at the right places?

Thousand thx for your inputs and time.

Regards,
Dom

Nice blunderbuss you have there, Dominique.
I think it's antique, not waste, collection, where your friend got this weapon from.

It's also my opinion. The steel is thick and the pearl pieces in the wood are beautiful.
We wish to know a little more about it. Period, influence. I'm really not a specialist.
I like also the templar symbol under it.

Regards,
Dom

I believe that style ranges from North Africa to Afghanistan. It looks like a 20th century tourist piece to me. The inlay and metal work are not as intricate or well executed as original examples. It is neat looking, but I don't think very old.
