Hi Alina!
I don't think that we will ever do a mix and match of hilt components -- there is too much involved with Peter's designs to play with switching components around. However, we are always open to suggestions for the types of hilt you would like to see on a particular type of blade -- Peter is working on alternate hilt components for several of the blades already designed, so that they are designed from the ground up, so to speak, and a true to their historical counterparts in handling and performance, as well as aesthetics. So keep suggestions coming!

It would be great if Peter and Albion designed a sword using a type V.2 pommel. You can see this type in Oakeshott's, Records on XV.2 and XVa.5. Maybe it would go best on a XV blade, maybe a XVII or XVIII

After much discussion - I am going to try very hard to use only Squire line swords in our King's Champion shows next year. I am very much tired of the excess weight and repetitive look of the Starfires we presently use.
Bob is already chomping at the bit to get one and from the Albion blades that I have handled, using the Squire line will further the goal I have of "historic demonstration" rather than "joust show".
Anyone wanna buy a few used Starfires??

Those two are very nice. Unfortunately, both are near misses in what I am looking for in a stage combat/reenactment sword. :( :cry:

Same here. The greatsword is too heavy, the bastard is too short. :\
Any chance we'll see something like a Sempach blunt in the near future?
Otherwise I'll be forced to buy the greatsword which would no doubt make me very unhappy. ;)

I really love the looks of the Viking and the Great Sword. I plan on buying both but right now I'll stick with just the Viking. Sent an email just now to order one. It looks great and I am certain it will completely replace the Del Tin of the same type I used to have...
Sigh... now comes the wait until I actually do get one...

Hey everyone. My first post :)
I inquired about other swords in the Squire line and this is the response that I got.
We are most certainly going to be
adding to the Squire line. It will be a little while before we do - but it
is in the plans to expand that line fairly big. We are currently
concentrating on the Next Gen's and getting that line up and going. Then we
will be throwing more Squire Line swords in the queue.

It's here, it's here, it's here! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you wonderful people at Albion. I am in love and can't wait to practice with it!
The UPS guy, (unfortunately it wasn't Dale Jarett), thought I was receiving flowers because of the long white Albion box. I didn't correct him, even though the sword is infinitely better. It lasts longer, the cats won't eat it, and I get to play with it.
