Hello people! A friend wants to find out the value of these swords he inherited from his grandfather. He doesn't know much about them and without any clue if they are genuine or not he can't really value them for sale. His local pawnshop proved to be quite useless.
This is the first one, 36" overall length, 31" blade, 1/4" at the base, 1/10" 3 inches from the tip, no scabbard:

You will need much better pictures before anyone could tell you much about your swords, it would be worth your while to borrow a better camera if yours can not take a better picture. Lay the swords on a flat backround and take pictures of the swords full profile, then close up shots of the important details, if there are scabbards photograph them as well.

The swords aren't mine and nowhere near me, but I told the owner he should try borrowing a better camera and shoot some better pictures...

Hi
first sword is a killij ( Turkish curved blade )
second looks to be Persian shamshir from Qajar period
-for similar blade look at " arms and armor from Iran " on pg 554
