Wulflund Viking Helms
Just recently came across the some interesting looking "Viking Helms" on Wulflund.com while looking at some of the nice forged axes and knives they have.

I'm curious if anyone had some thoughts on their various Viking Spectacle helms available? I've never seen anything like them and wonder how historical they are? Remind me of different Vendel helms.

Viking- or vendel-inspired is the closest you get there I think.

Most of those "viking" helmets they sell seems indeed to have more in common with the vendel-period than viking. I noticed that the one helmet they identify as vendel is also labeled "early viking" so that might be a clue as to how they define the term "viking".

There is only one known "viking" helmet, an occular one from Gjermundbu. Apart from this we have artwork pointing us in the direction of nasal helmets.
Pure fantasy, all of them.

Nothing to do with Viking, Vendel or any other early medieval helmets in terms of form, construction, decoration etc
