Missiouri war axe
Just finished hawk is forged from solid 1050 head with pierced with punch work along with copper inlay and some engraved scroll work, haft is curly hickory with silver inlay... it is based on several Missouri War Axes and is intended as a tribute to that style rather than a reproduction of a specific axe.
I did three Youtube videos of the making of this axe.

Super work Matthew and I am duly impressed that there was no power hammer was involved. I look foward to the trend of Native American hawks. Maybe we will see some other items such as lances?
Cheers

I enjoy seeing this whole process.
I honestly can't wait, I have a class scheduled with a smith by the name Marc Yanko who's teaching a course on tomahawk making. been waiting a year for the class.

Thanks for the replies, I am glad it is being well received. I am very much finding my self interested in under appreciated designs of the 17th-19th century knives and axes. Some of the French table knifes are just wild as are the pole Hawks or the Missouri War axe, a very interesting and under studied time for bladesmithing.
