I'm looking to dress a steel crossbow prod to give the impression of a composite bow. To do this I need to dissemble the bow and remove the lashing. I'm confident in the prod area but I'm uncertain on how to achieve the lashing that holds the prod to the stock of the crossbow.
Could anyone offer advice as to how the lashing was achieved? I've spent a while looking at the current lashing but can't seem to see where it begins or ends
Many thanks
Michael

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Book-Crossbow-Mil...486287203/ seems to be the closest thing to an authoritative reference that exists on this topic (I picked up a copy in one of my local bookshops for significantly less than that price, though). One of the chapters describes in quite extensive detail a method for lashing the bow to the stock using sinew, which could be adapted for other materials.
