Is there a technical term for the spacers/rollers/beads on this picture?

I've never come across a special name other than "bead".

They do add a nice "bling" factor. Wink

Vervelles

There are many different styles or types If you are looking for a source to buy these I like Windrose
http://www.windrosearmoury.com/zc/index.php?m...&id=13

or you can make them yourself
https://sites.google.com/site/griffinroost/Home/sca-combat/vervelles

or use cotter pins.

I see what you are asking now. I can also see that they do not hold anything on that I can see.

You could ask in ArmourArchive.org

Dan,

Are you asking....

"what are they called in the context of arms and armor?"

or....

"that do I call them so, I can order some up from a jewelry supplier?"

To the best of my knowledge, in the context of A and A, they have no name. They are unprecedented. They seem to be someone's attempt to make their bascinet look like it has more vervelles than the armorer was willing to install.

If you are looking for a source, I would start with the search "tube beads" Here is an example that matches pretty well. http://gobstock.com/5-x-11mm-tube-silver-10pc...OgodmikAIg

All things considered, it would be better if armorers would just put an authentic number of vervelles on helmets in the first place. That would be structurally sounder. Those guys back in the 14th C did not put all those vervelles on helmets just because they liked making them....
