Is there a technical term for the spacers/rollers/beads on this picture?

I've never come across a special name other than "bead".

They do add a nice "bling" factor. Wink

To the best of my knowledge, in the context of A and A, they have no name. They are unprecedented. They seem to be someone's attempt to make their bascinet look like it has more vervelles than the armorer was willing to install.

All things considered, it would be better if armorers would just put an authentic number of vervelles on helmets in the first place. That would be structurally sounder. Those guys back in the 14th C did not put all those vervelles on helmets just because they liked making them....
