Is about six feet long, weighs quite a bit. Has an octagon barrel that is banded to wood. The butt is really short and s shaped. No symbols or writing on it. I would upload more photos but the are to large

Hard to tell as we would need better pictures of the whole gun seem from the side, but from the little I can make out from the pics I think it might be a Japanese Matchlock ?
Original or copy would be the next question if I'm correct.
If original from what period ?
Here is a link to a lot of pics of Japanese Matchlocks:

Well, the design looks characteristically Chinese to me. Compare to this one, for example:

Here is what I know. My great great great great uncle brought it over from the philipeans when he was living there. When he brought it here he hid it and never let anyone see it. That's all I know. Soo if this thing would let me upload better pictures I would. The only picture on have ever found of the same gun is attached. Know obviously its in better condition than mine is.

It could be a matchlock nearly identical to the one in the professional photo. Or, it could be a Filipino copy, if that is where it came from. But, to make any kind of reasonably certain call, you are going to have to provide better photos, including full-length pictures. It is certainly interesting.
