Lorica squamata parts
Found them for sale at an auction site, and I thought they were interesting.

Very interesting. I am curious about the heart-shaped scales and how they might have been incorporated into the armor. I don't think I have seen anything like them before.
It's possible that these heart-shaped plates are not armour scales at all.

There are two belts, found in Bulgaria, both dated (as far as I remember) during Second Bulgarian Empire - 12.-14. C, decorated with similar plates.

is the belt, I usually use during the events; it's based on both of the originals. You could see the heart-shaped plates clearly.
As on the originals, my plates are attached to the leather with three rivets. So they have three holes, arranged in the exact same manner as on the plates in question.
Interestingly, they also have absolutely the same ridge, running length-wise.
Sadly, the best information about them is lost: their archeological context.
