Hi All,

I have just finished a group of scabbards for a single Albion mad customer. From top to bottom these are for the Burgundian, Mercenary, Landgraf and Munich.

Of all these, my absolute favourite is the Munich. I have lusted after this sword for quite a while. I love the very simple lines, the evil elegance and the very strong diamond section blade all combined in a package that is all business. When I was given the opportunity to make a scabbard for one, I tried to reflect these qualities and make as elegant and busniess like a scabbard as I could. I put particular emphasis on the diamond section of the blade and kept these lines very crisp in the fittings and the leatherwork.

Mad?! MAD YOU SAY?!!

Yeah, ok, maybe I have a couple of Albions... And there may be one or two friends that might suggest I'm certifiable..

I expect that I'll be very, very happy based on the pictures Tod sent. My Munich is the "Gothic", so I believe it will pop even more with the wire-wrapped grip and risers. The color schemes for the other three are playing at contrasts, with the suspensions matching to the grips (black for Landgraf, oxblood for Mercenary & Burgundian). I am also quite happy with the metal work - each chape unique amongst the four, no "bright" metal, reflecting my preference for the deeper character of the satin finish for the steel elements & mild oxidiation for the bronze fittings. All-in-all, these reflect my aesthetic quite well, and I can hardly wait to get my hands on them!

I will take & post back some pics once I've received the scabbards, showing off my now well-dressed swords.
