Here are some Viking-esque axes:
A&A Nordland, Bransford Bruks Battle Axe, A&A type L axe, Hanwei single-hand viking.

A&A Type B, A&A Danish Axe, A&A Type L, Mercenary's Tailor Viking Shield

An A&A Viking Spear is probably next on my list. I'd like to get an Albion Viking sword, but they're kind of spendy and I have higher priorities for other swords.
Great stuff everyone! That mad dwarf sword is insane...

Man, you have all three of my favorite axes, how much did the type L cost? Unfortunately as you can tell by my gear, I'm a pretty low budget viking haha

I think it was around $260 a few years ago - they were doing a limited run. It's definitely my favorite axe of the three - very nimble.

My secret goal (don't tell my wife) is to collect all of their pole weapons and display them on the wall in a fan pattern. I've got the perfect spot picked out in the living room....

I guess I'll have to getting a better hand axe on the back burner, as of now I'm seeking someone to make a type L longaxe with an 11in blade edge and 60in in haft length. I tried to contact A&A, but they never emailed me back. Do you know of any other good smiths out there I could try?

Hahaha that's quite an aspiration, don't worry, I'll take the secret to my grave. :D

Although I don't collect Viking gear but I really admire David's sword collection. :surprised:

A viking really needs a ship. This is ours, the Sae Hrafn.

My newer more accurate shield, my Gjermundbu made by Jeff at Royal Oak Armory, and my new type G hand forged axe. It was made with welding a hardened edge into a softer steel just as Norse smiths would have done. I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but I also own an A&A Danish War Axe as well. :)
