Hello!
i have a long patternwelded seax in the making so i thought i would post pictures from the process
i learned not to be attached to blade until heat treat is done, so no pictures before that step now
here is the blade after etch. its four bars construction
wrought iron nack, then 9 layers interupted twist. wrought iron and then steel with spontaneously formed hamon

the lenght of the blade is 49 cm and over all lenght is around 70 cm
(will meassure as soon as scabbard leather dries out

I agree and each pic viewed in sequence was better and better: The blade looks rich in contrasting pattern and textures.
What type of wood did you use for the handle ? Just curious as it has a nice warm feel.
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

The OAL is 70 cm exactly, the blade being 49 cm.
