Hi All,

England is wet and after a partial flood at Tewkesbury Festival this weekend and Kelmarsh Festival being underwater, chat gets round to past years, when fellow forumite Glennan Carnie put me onto this link on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFjVriBuB7s

This was when Berkley Castle festival flooded 2 years ago and the jousters went 'shield surfing' - I like the thinking!

Ha! Someone needs to make a shield with a skeg! That was great!

I'm lucky nothing is flat enough to flood in my part of the country. It's all downhill into the sea.

I felt bad hearing about Kelmarsh, thinking of all the wet gear and tents. I remember it rained insanely at Borre 2008, I was afraid that if i went to sleep I would be found by peat diggers two thousand years later.

I'm going to have to scour the Sagas for references... pretty sure the Vikings invented this too...
