Can anyone identify this sword? It measures 23" and has the year 1839 carved into the wood handle on one side. I've looked all over the internet, but it's obviously handmade (or fake) and it probably one of a kind? I've attached photos to the post. Does anyone know what this would commemorate in 1839?

1839 could commemorate anything, but Belgian was recognized as a Kingdom that year.

Also in that year, the British East India Company captured Aden and the First Opium War began.[/code]
