It took Alojz longer than usual but he finally managed to grip my Paul Binns seax blade I brought home from my London trip. Happy The grip is inspired, but not a copy of, Aachen seax attributed to Charlemagne. Materials are fossil oak and brass. The tang was supposed to be just glued but Alojz forgot about that and peened it over the cap. Not a big issue for me so I didn't complain. Wink Scabbard is not historical, just a simple wooden scabbard with black leather so I have something to keep seax in before I get a proper historically accurate scabbard.

I rather like that. I bet the pommel balances the whole nicely and a nice piece of bog Oak as well.

Hi Luka,
I agree with Mark R, very nicely executed, Can't wait to see it, in its intended scabbard.

Hi Luka, that seax looks awesome. I visited Krišto in his shop last august and the man is a no-nonsense real master of his trade. Especially with early firearms, his handiworks are both beautiful and functional pieces.

I just love blend of the intricate Binns damascus blade and the understated but stylish handle. Clearly the way to go with that blade.
