I wanted to share with everyone an event that will be broadcast live, as well as a saved file to view. At the end of the month several fantastic sword makers, and an oddball from Wisconsin, will be gathered in Alaska to do demos for your viewing pleasure!
I hate to redirect to a different forum, but there is more info to be had at: http://forums.dfoggknives.com/index.php?showtopic=22731
There will be a webpage and more information as the date gets closer. I wanted to make sure the community had a heads up and knew it was going on since it is and incredible collection of talent in one place and is not to be missed! But if you do it will be available for a free view at a later date.

There's a free participatory skype Q&A? That's great!

You just made my month with that news! Very exciting. It actually happens during my off week from my production, I'm curious to see who's broadcasting it.
We rarely have anything come to Alaska. This is huge news.

Dave Stephens just put up a trailer and a dedicated web site for the event. Please go to:
http://www.ArcticFire2012.com/
For those who are interested in seeing artisans of the craft talk about their work, this will be a fine opportunity. The demonstrations will be recorded for future reference as well.
Myself I can hardly wait. I am sure this will be inspiring in a powerful way.

Do you know if there's room for live viewers? A very good swordsmith here in town really wants to attend. I know I would love to see it as well if I can split off from this production long enough. There's no information on that. Thanks.

Best write to Dave Stephens and ask him directly. I do not think he has planned this to be an event for a live audience, as he is arranging to have it recorded and broad cast. I imagine there will be some hectic activity "off screen" to make everything run smoothly.
-Best if you contact him and ask. You can reach him via the Blade Smith Forum:

I want to add that the website with information on this event is located at, http://www.ArcticFire2012.com and has all the information. For those unable to view the event live, it will be saved and available for free viewing after the fact, free of charge!
