Does anyone have experience with this sword? How does it handle and perform during cutting? Also what is the grip length?
Thanks,
John

While I don't have a Bayeux, I do have a Reeve, which is the same except for the Pommel. They are very close in weight and have very similar CoB.
Anyway, it is my favorite sword. Just feels right in the hand to me. Very strong cutter, but also balances very well in the hand.
Currently my Reeve is off with Brian Kunz to have a scabbard made, so I don't have it in front of me to measure the grip. But I would think the Bayeux had the same grip length as the Reeve which is 3 3/4 inches (same length as the Norman and Senlac also).

Hello sirs:
I haven't cut anything with either (they weren't mine), which might make my post moot, but both track rather well, and both are SCARY fast--swords that wide and sturdy looking don't seem to have any business having recovery cuts and back-edge cuts at the speeds they are capable of. I personally prefer the longer Gaddhjalt blade, but if I had to cut things thrown at me, or actually duel someone (even with shield), I might pick the Bayeux or Reeve for speed dominance...
