Hello folks,
Please forgive my posting these here like this,but as many of you like armour as well as weapons ,I thought that I might post these .
They are a commission that I have recently finished.Mainly made from 18swg steel,with 16swg gadlings on the fingers and 14swg raised brass gadlings on the knuckles.They took something like two weeks to complete.Trouble is that now I have finished them I want to make another, really fancy pair..............all I need is the time ! 
I hope that someone enjoys looking at them.I enjoyed making them !

That is beautiful stuff!!! And they look so incredably well made. Those are collectors pieces for sure.

Agreed - absolutely stunning. My experience with reproduction armour is limited, but I've never seen gauntlets that were their equal. Thanks for posting the pictures, they're greatly appreciated!

As with the suit posted here you did for Madam Toussades (sp) I again have to say fabulous work . The detailing is great !

Good work!
Very inspiring to see. Please post more photos of your work as projects are completed.
(Did you use sliding rivets for the movement of the wrist? )
Do you know Rustnings-Per in København?
Seems you share interest and talent in equal good measure.

Thankyou for the nice comments gentlemen,I am pleased that you seem to like them  They were certainly great fun to do.
Peter,
They do have sliding rivets at the wrists,also at the attachment points of the brass gadlings as well.
Regrettably, I do not know Per personally,only by word of mouth.From what I have seen he does absolutely stunning work.Though I do occassionally raise helmets skulls,much of my work is for reenactment use , for which raised skulls are all too often prohibitively expensive.Pers on the otherhand are mostly raised I believe? Hopefully, we will be in touch with each other at some point soon,I would very much like to meet up with him,yourself too Peter ! amongst other things,I think that we know a few mutual people. Are you going to Wisby next year ? I am hoping to get there for the first time myself.

Hey Russ,
I will most probably go to Visby next august. I usually take part in a theme day on medieval arms, armour and warfare. I also usually hopd a talk on the craft of swordmaking.
When time draws near we should compare calendars and see when and how we could meet.

hey, I find hammers and computers go together fine also..... especially my computer... 
The pen is mightier than the sword, especially since it can get past security and be stabbed it into a jugular.
This site would be better if everytime I clicked submit... I got to hear a whip crack!
