I am altering the hilt of the Windless Pilsen Rapier, cutting off one of the knots and replacing it with two rings (double port design). It would help my designer/welder if I knew what type of steel the hilts are made of.
Anyone know? Anyone ever weld onto a Windlass hilt before?
