It pains me to do this, but I'm trying to fund something else, so here goes: Up for sale is my Tod's Stuff horn and brass-gripped 15th century eating knife. It's based on 15th century construction techniques and features a steel blade inlaid in brass with Tod's maker's mark (very classy and very period). The grip is much like a standard scale-tang construction, except that the horn scales and tang and enclosed in a beautifully made brass box as seen on a few 15th century examples (sometimes brass, sometimes silver). The box is soldered to the pretty conventional bolsters and tang. The horn scales have decorative brass pin work. The scabbard is tooled front and back and is dyed black. The pattern on the scabbard nicely matches the pinwork on the scales.
This is a very classy package and features some of Tod's very best fit and finish work. It's also basically in as-new condition.
