Heres my latest custom viking commission from Vladimir cervenka
vladmir was a pleasure to work with . he answered all my questions and and gave me up dates on his progress.
I am very pleased with the sword . the Engraved Motifs are very clean and clear .
The wire wrap really feels good in the hand .
The blade is outstanding , very clean and well balanced , this sword is a true cutter 16oz pepsi bottle like butte
Viking sword,
9-10th centuries,
Northern, western and middle Europe.
The cross and the pommel
of the sword are decorated with
engraved motifs.
Total length: 910 mm
Length of the blade: 755 mm
Width of the blade: 53 mm
Weight : 1100 g

Červenka's Viking sword looks pretty heavy (But not as heavy as that anvil, though).

Hello Sharil,
I would be surprised if it were heavy. It is listed at 1100 grams, which makes it lighter than my cervenka Early Gothic at 1160 grams, which sword handles very nicely, nimble and responsive. Cervenka's taper is very well done so the width is deceptive.
