|
|
Hello everyone!
I need help with identifying a sabre for a friend of mine, and see if it is a replica or an original. It is from the regions of former Yugoslavia, the blade has no marks on it. The blade baffles me, to be honest, and i'm wondering what this could be...
Currently, i only have this one picture, but i'll try getting more ASAP.
Any help with be appreciated! I know i've seen hilts like this on sabres, however the blade is... weird. Might it be a later blade?
Edit: edited the title, but i still wonder when it's from...

Perhaps not really a saber but probably a sidearm say for police or infantry...

A police saber is my guess as well. When you see abnormally short examples they tend to be for this sort of task. Think packed aggressive crowds, and the short blade makes sense.

Thank you for the info!
Can anyone guess at the age and/or value of the sword?
Cheers,
Alen
