Hello, I've tried doing some searching on here and google, but I haven't had much luck and can't seem to get the results I'm hoping for. Apologies if this has come up too many times in the past. I'm hoping to find some illuminations depicting western armour in the range of the 11th century up until the end of the 15th, but I don't have much experience in researching these kinds of thing, and so the only sources I'm familiar with are the Bayeux Tapestry, the Maciejowski Bible and some of the old effigies.

Is anybody aware of some other visual sources that I could look into? I know some of the Osprey books have illustrations in them, but I'm hoping to find some more primary sources. Thanks.

Welcome Christopher!

There's a wealth of information located in the Features, Reviews, Links and Books sections (buttons in the title bar above). Two links that you might find immediately useful are Effigies and Brasses and Manuscript Miniatures.

Here the very well preserved roll for Edward IV. It also links to more resources.

Two words: Swiss Chronicles. (Especially the ones that have anything to do with Diebold Schilling.)
