Hi all,
here is another piece I made earlier this year. It is a baselard based on an english brass tomb plate (ca.1400) and some details from several other earlier (1370s) stone effigies from Germany.
The handle is made of walnut root, the blade is C45.
The sheath has a wooden core (ash), the sheath covering is dear, the scabbard slide and chape are
tinned brass.
overall length of dagger: 445mm
blade length: 288mm
max blade width: 54mm
max blade thickness: 10mm

What a beautiful design!
I love the curvaceous grip shape which is complimented by the angular facets. Do I see contrasting color wood plugs in the rivet head holes? Very  !

Beautiful work. Really spotless finish all around, and a very pleasant example you choose to replicate here.
It seems that you are cruising Constantin! I've seen nothing but premium stuff from you here so far.
I see that you are now listed as a pro. Time to provide a website!

What you see is actually the brass from the studs that go all the way through since the cross section in the wood is quite thin there. Thought it might match well with the handle wood
