Hi there!

A friend of mine is in the need of a helmet, and he has been looking at this one: http://www.mardinus.home.pl/_en/oferta/helmy_pozne_01.php?id=38

Apart from the bascinet-like shape, has anyone ever seen a visor like this? And if yes, how widespread was it?

Cheers!

I've seen a lot of those style visors as of late, especially from our ukranian armourers, and when asked they got the ideas from the Czech armourers.

I had a HUGE list of probably 18 variations on visors for bascients someplace, but now I can't find the darn thing.

That being said, I believe it was a late 14th century bascient found in Bulgaria if I remember correctly.

AHHHAH! Found it... Best Armoury.

But other than that I'd have to go check my books to find you real province for that style.

It reminds me of a helmet I saw in a World of Warcraft Youtube video. Other than that I'm useless to you. Big Grin
