This was probably a less-valued piece of plunder, rather than an actual pirate weapon, because Edward Teach's ship ran aground and anything the crew wanted was off-loaded before the frigate broke up. This was recovered from the wreck site.

Still thought you might enjoy seeing it.

I think the remnants are of two swords, not one.
1. The grip and pommel from a ca.1700 William and Mary style hanger.
2. Cross-guard and blade from a different hanger.
