Marozzo's Large Shield
In one of the plates from Achille Marozzo's Opera Nova, there is a depiction of a man wielding a sword and and carrying what appears to be a form of kite shield, or at least a shield that is used in a very similar manner to a kite shield.
The plate itself mentions Cap. 152, which corresponds to a section of Marozzo's written text.

Does anyone have a translation of Marozzo's text on the use of this large shield that they'd be willing to share?
You mean the imbracciatura? They are a strange form of shield ... I've seen similar ones in Renaissance Italian art, where they appear to be strapped with the arm along the long axis, but without the spike at the bottom. I wish I knew enough Italian to check some dictionaries and books on arms and armour, because the one picture leaves a lot of questions.

William E. Wilson's online translation includes this section.
Have you look at Schola Gladiatoria, http://www.fioredeiliberi.org. They appears to have a link to English pdf of Marozzo's Opera Nova about 1/2 down the page http://www.fioredeiliberi.org/othermasters/

Isn't it funny that this was avalible but an English dictionary was written yet.

While we're at it, I feel like i should post a link to a prior discussion on the shield in question:
