Attached are photo's of the above event. It was a lot of fun to watch fully armoured modern Knights and horses thundering towards each other. The level of skill involved is something to behold.

Amongst the photos is a poorly focused shot (I was kicking myself later for not even thinking to take my camera and having to rely on my phone) of a guy in red leggings and a wide brimmed slouch hat. First person to guess who this well known individual is wins a prize of ...absolutley nothing.

More photo's for your viewing pleasure.

If any one wants close up's of any photo's I can zoom in and resave some of the better focused images with quite good resolution, so I am taking requests although it will probably be the end of the week before I can update them.

I also watched some sword and buckler but got no worthwile photo's.

Ooh, ooh, I know!

It was a great weekend, I wish I had been on a horse instead of judging the passes, but work has been getting busy lately and I decided to pull out a while ago rather than get stressed about trying to do too many things. The weather was wonderful, especially after some rotten weather lately that washed out (literally) another tournament in Taupo.

Still hammering away

I have just a few more shots, mostly from behind as the riders went past. So I will get them up hopefully by this weekend. What was nice was that they would always ride past slowly and position themselves as they were moving so the crowd could get good photo's. The attendants on foot also gave out pieces of the broken lances to the children, so my son got one.

Peter who won the jousting event, I was not there on Sunday.

Good to see you out and about Peter! The hobbit hole tan is a giveaway though. When will we see you up on a pony again?
