Does anyone know of any Armourers in SF or on the peninsula? Or better yet, a Armourer's guild?
I live on SF peninsula and am finding it difficult to meet armourers and find space to work on my up coming projects.

There is one at ardenwood forge in fremont who is starting up. But since he is renting the space from the blacksmith, I'm not sure he could let you use the space...course you could ask the blacksmith yourself to see if you can rent some shop time. Also I believe Tidus at the santa clara SCA fighter practice may have a small forge setup at this house.

I don't know about armourers, but you might check with The Crucible in Oakland. They have a variety of programs promoting and supporting the "fire arts" as they put it.
Although there is not a forge there, TechShop in Menlo Park and San Francisco offers a number of classes in machining, welding, woodworking and a large variety of other technical occupations and hobbies. They are largely into robotics, but I imagine they would be supportive of a project dealing with armour. Once you join and are certified on their machinery, you book time for your own projects.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I am going to look them all up and will post what I find.
