Lucerne Hammer by White Well Arms at White Rose Armoury
Heres the finished product, well almost just needs a bit of gold guilding around the rings and bulges.

Iv produced this hammer based around 3 originals, and discussed and drew scale drawing until we came to a satisfieing design.

Everything about the hammer has never seen any precision tools. The precision is down to the hands and eye of the craftsmen, being completely forged and ground by hand, without the use of a lathe to turn the rings and bulges.

From the original design it was decided to have rings rather than roped at the point of contact to the socket of the hammer, and that the studs/ rivets would be flower heads using the design of an original rivet head from the 15thC.

Below are images of the originals I have based the hammer on, images of the finished product and the scale drawing (there are alot of numbers on there most are scaling up from the original photograph).

Spectacular!

In those pictures, it looks straight out medieval. It's always nice to see such reproductions, when weapons other than swords, accurate or not, are still grossly under represented.

Any chance for the stats of the thing?
Awesome! I really like this piece. I would''ve liked to see you add this post to your origianl WIP post so we could see the process on one thread. The result sure is nice...
Gold Plated Lucerne Hammer for Jason Kingsley.
Heres the finished Hammer. Im really pleased with it and hope that I will be making some more similar hammers like this in the not too distant future! It really was something I found hard to let go of! :)

Wow. I want one.
Thankyou for your comment.

To manufacture another one of these I would be charging around 495GBP.
The gold would come be 60GBP.
Many of the reproductions that I've seen here on myArmoury look better crafted than the original pieces. In my opinion, this is one of them. I wish I were paid in GBP rather than USD.

Great work!
Many thanks for all the kind words and appreciations!

I shall post some more hammers i have manufactured in the not too distant future.

And most definatly show the processes used in my manufacturing ways =)

thanks once again!
