This is a polleaxe i recently finished.

made after a piece in the Dutch armymuseum in delft

Total weight of the polleaxe is 2050 grams.
Total length is 198 centimeters
Pole made of ash with lineseed coathing
And no welds in the axehead.

Any date on the original ? I must have missed this piece on our recent outing to the Army museum.

Looks very imposing, even with safe edges!

Still it wouldn't be too cool to eat a strike from this baby. :eek:

According to the new museum catalog the piece is dated between 1400 and 1550.
Which is a big time span.
I think it's from 1470 to 1500
