Great company. Just ordered my helm from them after handling two others by them. Plan on ordering a couple dozen buckles soon. We'll see what else is in the future.

Seconded - I haven't worked with Armour & Castings in a couple of years, but from their inventory and current reviews over at The Armour Archive I can only imagine they're getting even better than before! I ordered a custom SCA bascinet with interchangeable visors based on rough sketches. The quality of the helmet was amazing for the price, and their communication was not spotty, etc... Shipping was great from Eastern Europe.

Can't wait to do business again!

Got the Dordreht kidney pouch from them last year - love it! Wonderful workmanship.

Just inquired about a klappvisor bascinet - anxiously waiting the reply so I can get something in process. Happy

Thanks for good words).

We' ve just got your letter about the helm. What I have to say is that all you ask about may be made but we can not accept helmet orders until the end of the next week. This is connected with reorganization of our helmet production and with the lack of qualified helm armorers now.
So we'll be able to handle your request a bit later.

Thanks for the quick response. I've been contemplating this purchase for several months, so another week or two isn't going to hurt in the least. Cool

Are there any plans to offer chapes for scabbards? I figure that there would be some sales of them from the customers on this forum!

This greatly depends on demand.
If one needs this - we can do.
There are some problems with measurements and shape - many of the scabbards are very individual.
It seems, it's much better to make the fittings just along with the scabbard itself for better matching, both in style and size.

Hi, all!

As some of you already know - this year we have closed our armoury, it will be rearranged and restaffed.
This will take some time and it is not yet known how long it will be.

There is some armour in stock left:

we now have (you may see pictures above in the previous posts)
3 helmets (Vashelm is reserved)

3 types of gauntlets:
one pair of Mitten Gauntlets, middle 16 c., hardened spring steel, size middle
3 pairs of SCA-legal Hourglass Gauntlets, size large
4 pairs of lamellar fingered Basic gothic gauntlets

1 pair of "Arms"

for details please see "Sale" category on the site: http://www.armourandcastings.com/index.php?_a...;catId=23.

Although the armoury principally does not work

WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A LIMITED NUMBER OF GAUNTLETS ORDERS IN MAY

So if you need some gauntlets - don't miss the chance.

Thank you for the update. I've been watching the website...would really like to order some gauntlets from you so I'll keep my eye open for the window! I love my helm from you guys.

Even though the armoury is closed for right now, are you still making and selling the castings?
