Hello:
My other hobby is model kits - mostly aircraft. I found this item on a Japanese website. It is a skeleton warrior figure from the old movie "Jason and the Argonauts." I saw this movie as a young boy and these guys scared the living daylights out of me. They made an impression because I still remember a bad guy planting "dragons teeth," the skeletons sprouting from the ground, marching, then screaming and charging! Not sure about technique, but these guys were vicious. I've always appreciated the historic value of this scene in the annals of special effects. It boggles my mind to think these skeleton warriors were filmed using stop motion techniques. It's an incredible scene even today, but it'd be cool to see it replicated with modern technology.
I forgot how to put photos in a message, so I hope the link works. Enjoy!

I saw that movie when I was a kid. I'd go as far as to say it was one of my favorite movies growing up. The thing that freaked me out about the skeletons was that the guys were trying to defend themselves with swords and they were stabbing and cutting and bashing all over and it wasn't working.
Then I found D&D some years later, figured out to carry a backup BLUNT damage weapon in places the skeletal undead frequented, etc.
Edit: The battle scene

is better than I remembered.
