another questiuon related to the henrician period, i need a suggestion for a suitable sword for a soldier of the mid-late

Henry VIII period. i would like very much to have your suggestions.

A soldier of what status? Type XVIIId or even a complex-hilt longsword would be a good choice for an officer or knight. Infantry would be using single-hand swords with anything from relatively simple hilts, through pas d'ane and siderings all the way up to basket hilts of the Mary Rose type.

You should get Osprey's "Tudor Knight" book.
