Hi All
I have been asked to make a poleaxe for a gift, since I live in the middle of nowhere the only place I can turn to for construction details is the Web. I would like some input from the members here

Are the heads of a poleaxe hollow (to allow the shaft to fit into them) or solid and the langets (I don't know if I used the right term) the only thing that holds the head in place.

If there is a web page with dimensions and details of pole arms I would love to see it

Thanks

First, let me say: Welcome Brad!

There is an excellent feature article on this forum called The Medieval Poleaxe.

There are also some do-it-yourself threads that you might find helpful:

Pollaxe/Streithammer Project

Hafting my Poleaxe Head

There are many other threads to help point you in the right direction. Use the new and improved search function.
