Hi,
I am working on a Mamluk costume ranging from the 13th till 15th century. I have made my own Coif which I think looks awesome but I really want a Helmet.
My question is this, does someone know what kind of helmets the Mamluks wore in that time periods? And does someone have an Idea where I could get one?

wow thats a large time frame. almost too wide to detail a certain object. you could have 13thc fashion with 15th century armour and be completely off your look. You may want to limit your time frame a little more.

Hi,
Well the thing is that now I have a 13th c look. (clothing, padded long coat, coif, and a long robe.) Losing the Coif adding a helmet, additional armor and different weapons I can use the rest of the armor as a basic for the 15th c look.
Let me alter my question. What kind of helmets were the Mamluks wearing in the 13th c and what kind in the 15th c? Does anyone know a blacksmith were I could order them?
