Lol, I'm pretty sure you're seeing the shadow underneath as a blade flat since the inlay seems to take up the whole fuller on both sides to me.

Hey Jeremy, here's another pic that you may or may not have seen.
It's found in Ian Peirce's The Development of the Medieval Sword, c. 850-1300 article.
Unfortunately he is almost as unhelpful as Oakeshott, saying it "even now handles most beautifully", but giving no specs etc.
He does say that recently (c. 1988) he was able to handle/photograph it due to the generosity of Mr. Peter Dineley, the original finder's son. It's not much to go on, but it might give you something to go on as far as finding the owner.
