There are numerous pictures of different kinds showing beggars in tight hose from late 15th century. Mostly in a very ragged shape but still tigh ones. There seems to be no real difference in which social class you use the hose. However, it's more likely that your average lowlife use something that's a bit out of fashion than a nobleman...
My point exactly. Even the poor wore hose when they could get it. Loose trousers were clearly not a garment that respectable people wore in polite society.
theres also another 'source' for the cloak, in the paintings of st francis of assisi.
that long clok and robe seems somethng mostly associated with churchmen... and forest archers, historical or not..
my opinion anyways
