Vince has a new piece up on his site and it is a beauty ..... a damascus bladed Falcata !
( and this baby is currently up for grabs on his "Available Page", so someone is going to be one lucky camper!)

WOW!! Eek! Eek!

Damn, this guy's good!

I'm getting tired of being spun around like this. Everyday I see something new that leads me off in another direction! It's killing me!

Me wants 'em all!

The falcata has always been one of my favorites out of the ancient types. Vince has done an outstanding job as usual. I really tried to think of a way to come up with the money, but I just couldn't swing it. Some collector's going to be very happy to get this one.

I made a post of my own on this one Mac, then had to delete it. I should have checked the forum first since you beat me to it!

for a long time, i've seen much of Vince's work through this forum and pictures of others' collections. at the risk of a heated debate, although the pieces have been beautifully done i haven't seen any particular piece that instantly made me take pause, catch my breath, and wish i could own. it is kind of like my opinion on motorcycles - they are very interesting, often amaze me to look at, but i never really want to go buy one. . .

. . . until now.

i'm not going to get in over my head trying to describe it, so i'll leave it at wow.

and yes, some collector is going to be very proud of this one.

i could sell my entire collection...

at 1lb 14oz that falcata would simply fly. there it is boys and girls, this sword is my definition of "perfection".

Try not to take yourself too seriously.

No heated debate from me. In fact, those of us who pretty much want to get everything made by Vince thank you profusely for taking yourself out of the running. Wink

Stephen,

you are more than welcome! leave this one piece to me somewhere in the far off distant future, and i will be more than satisfied. Happy

. . . now the right PJ original, on the other hand, might be worth starting my collection over for. . . except i think i'd keep the atrim i've got on the way; i think it's going to be pretty special Wink
