TV interview and test cut
Hello. On 21st Feb 2010 we helped a local TV station to shoot their martial arts program. The host is a friend of mine and he wanted to show his enthusiasm in armed martial arts. We recorded some test cut and sparring, including cutting pork arms and over 3" wet newspapers roll. It kinda showed how difficult it was to cut the newspapers roll by the contrast. :)

We had grown to be more careful nowadays. :D
You know, I gotta be honest, when I first came across your videos I was not particularly interested in them. It was sort of like "Oh, another video showing this guy chopping up newspapers or sparring some other guy, woop-di-do." I kept at least watching parts of them here and there though, and somewhere along the line I "got" your enthusiasm for this simple pleasure and became a fan. I guess what I'm saying is this: Keep having fun and keep the world safe from those fearsome newspapers. ;)

Hheheh thanks for your kind words and patience. I guess it's the sword itself that has somehow triggered your inner interest. :D
My friend Tom Biliter bought a camera capable of doing 300 fps and 600 fps and shot a test cutting video for me. The newspapers roll was 5" thick.

And here is the video of our sparring, my Deva slayer vs his sword and buckler. The outcome was 31:31 from frame by frame video review. I tried my best. Tom was really good. :D

Hi, guys! Have you already seen these videos?
This is a series of programs on British TV I think.
I ran across it - tests of various medieval armour and weapon with adherence to some conditions of the time etc. etc..

One is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEQfoKg8ZgQ
Others are in this man's stream who posted it.
The first TV interview has been broadcast and here's the video I captured from the TV.
