Since I didn't see one yet, I thought I'd start a thread for everyone to show off what armour/arms/related paraphernalia they obtained for Christmas. I personally obtained the Windlass Revolutionary War Saber, something I'd been eying for quite some time. My younger brother received the Hanwei Scottish Backsword, I was pleasantly surprised at how much nicer the sharp was compared to the practical. Finally, my younger sister received her very first sword, Musashi's Shirakawa katana (SS808BK). In the case of the katana, I was amazed at how nice it initially seems for such a low cost.

Unfortunately, I can't get my camera to work right so I'm just attaching links to the various swords at vendor sites.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Nice acquisition! I received the Revolutionary War Saber for my birthday last year and it's one of my favourite swords yet.
This Christmas I got a Windlass Greek spearhead for my kit. I modified it a bit for better accuracy.

Nathan.

Well, it's not a sword, but it IS a historical weapon (introduced in 1950) - my new Remmington 870 12 gauge!

Some unexpected seasonal additions continue to surprise me. A 19th century musician sword with scabbard that was found at bargain basement pricing. Truly unexpected but well appreciated is to now have on the shelf is a later edition of Fox-Davies A Complete Guide To Heraldry.(orig 1929) A title I would have probably never bumped up my book wants and had used it a couple of times in internet snippets from the past. The author was also an editor for the Burke's Peerage books as well and this is going to be a good read. Santa and my youngest sister have done me well the arms and armour dept.

Cheers
