Were morions ever worn with bevors or any other kind of reinforcing plates for the face? I think it would be a very intimidating look - is there any historical precedent for it?

I've seen pics of morion/bevor combos in some of my reference books and unless these combinations where mistaken museum displays where unassociated pieces of armour where put together then I guess the answer is yes.
Some of the earliest morion seem to me to have evolved as styles of kettle hats where the brim became folded up front and back to improve vision and curves down on the sides where they give more protection to the side of the face and neck.
A bevor can also fill in the open face of a morion and even though there remains a large opening for vision the combined angles of the brim and the bevor form and inverted V resulting in it being almost impossible for a cut to reach the face no matter what the angle of the cut i.e. a good and effective combination.
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!
