The first Brescia Spandonas are being assembled this week and Kevin Iseli has completed the first period scabbard for the Solingen (photos below.)

Kevins work is really looking good Howy!

I especially love the buckle and chape. Did Kevin make those himself?

I got to handle one of the production Brescia's yesterday, and I was able to handle Peter's prototype in Atlanta. The production Brescia is every bit as good as Peter's. That's pretty darn impressive.

It's a beautiful looking and handling sword.

The Scabbard and of course, the Solingen look great- And as you guys move along with the Museum Line the closer you come to the St. Maurice sword, and I CAN'T WAIT! Not that I will be able to afford it when it does. :confused: .

Howard, that's absolutely awesome. Kevin's work is simply put: the best in the game right now. That sword has never looked so good. The scabbard really puts it into its proper historical context and completes the ensemble.

Love the scabbard!

One thing to keep in mind with this scabbard is that Kevin forged everything, down to the belt buckle. Everything on this scabbard is one of a kind and individual. Kevin keeps impressing me every time I see him forging these buckles out.

Write me down for a Sword of St. Maurice-Turin. Any rough-ballpark-wild-ass-guesses when this Museum-line sword will see production? Next summer or fall perhaps?

Not to take attention away from the beautiful scabbard for the Solingen! Very impressive.

Even allowing for some slippage, that's earlier than I would have expected. Howy, do you have a (ballpark) price determined for the SoSM? You mentioned it will be more than the first Museum pieces ($1000) -- but are we talking $1250? $1500? I will need to start squirelling away the money now.
I assume you will also be producing a recreation of the original scabbard (not meaning the "case") as well?
