I'm heading off on a 10 day trip to visit the lands where my kin used to roam !
I'll be back home , God willing, late on 9 July !
You all be good ..... take care of yourselves .... and Happy 4th of July (early) America !

It that the castle where parts of the original Highlander movie was shot? Sure looks like it.

Yes, its Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie. It gets a lot of screen time but it was the one used in the Highlander movie. I believe it is the seat of the MacKenzies. In an interesting side note in 1539 the McLeods (also from the movie) attacked it but they never held it.
