Christian, I thought the winners of the contest were voted on by your fans. Is it really a "pick for a hat" contest this year?

We're going with the random selection again this time so nobody need feel intimidated by competition with professional photographers. Mostly I just want this to be fun.

I've entered every year and have had a blast doing it. The past 2 years my brother Mike has been involved and this year my youngest brother Jeff has picked out a site and wants to get involved.
Always a lot of fun and a good excuse for brothers to act like, well .... brothers. Thanks again for hosting oChristian!

hmm.... may have to get in on this... sounds like fun. But it would be cheating to toss up a pic that I already have :P

Hey, and you're in Ft. Bragg too!
Ya know, I could like, babysit the sword for ya when you go out of town or something ...just sayin'.
I'd sent in an old picture I took of my Sunbeam snake wrapped around a crappy El Cid Tizona replica, neither of which I have anymore. What's the story behind your pic Dave?

Well I have some very talented friends who helped out with the photos. The models are Debra and the daughter of the photographer. Stefanie the photographer wanted to do a sort of post apocalyptic Mad Max shoot, we have a lot of photos so I suppose i should post them as well. If you look close the daughter is a bit of a mutant with sharp key-nines and has to be contained. The idea was that she is a 'weapon' as well to be released at only the most dire need. Debra is holding the leash.
Think, Mad Max meets Relevant Evil meets Highlander. I by the way am the one in the long coat.
Come on up and see us some time, and you have an open invitation to 'Viking Christmas' as well my annual Garbed up medieval fling in December
Drop me a PM

The link seems to be incorrect. Does anyone have a different one? I'd like to see all the contestants contributions.

At the moment CF is only showing the winner. He'll probably shift back to the complete array of around 85 photos soon.

Dave,
Yeah, I'd love to see some of the other photos, you guys really went high-concept and the ladies look great!
Daughter-girl makes me want to go play some Left 4 Dead actually.
"Viking Christmas." Awesome! That's just a perfect idea. Yeah, I'd love to attend anything like that,
I've never personally known anyone else that cared anything for swords, medieval, viking age stuff etc.
(at least outside of a Ren Faire.) Consequently, I'm real envious of all the cool get-togethers people
on this forum are always posting about.
Although I wish I'd won that sword, I think it went to a real worthy guy, and a Sergeant First Class to boot!
I can feel damn good about that.
And of course you've gotta post some pictures here of your sword when you get it as well!
